The Open Forum is for those who do not identify as a Christian. It's a stimulating one-hour discussion centered on the big questions of God and life. Various worldviews are shared (including yours, hopefully), and everyone's perspective is respected! It's just a genuinely enjoyable one-hour conversation, not a lecture (or a debate). We also offer Open Tables, which are like Open Forums, except they are smaller dinner parties at someone's home.
You probably don't want to share a thought or idea on Facebook because, let's be honest, people can be hostile. It seems like people are cascading more and more into tribalism. Is it possible to have an exchange of worldviews and ideas that improves the lives of everyone in the room? Of course there is. All we need is respect!
The goal is authentic conversation and fearless friendships! There is no hidden agenda. It's life-giving to have a stimulating discussion about belief systems. Socrates supposedly said, "The unexamined life is not worth living." It could also be said that an unexamined faith is not worth believing. The Christian perspective will be presented as an alternative for discussion, along with the other viewpoints represented.
Topics likely to be discussed...
... and anything else about God and life.
