If you are a follower of Jesus, you know your primary endeavor in life is to make disciples.
An issue in our culture is that many Christians have been churched, but few have been discipled. And how can we make disciples if we haven’t been discipled?
Discipleship is the intentional process of becoming like Christ by following Him in every aspect of life: Jesus frames it as a radical call to deny oneself, obey His teachings, and make more disciples (not just converts).
Discipleship is relational, reproducible patterns of life-on-life transformation that integrate belief and practice in everyday rhythms. It is apprenticing under Jesus to live in the reality of the Kingdom of God, where transformation of one's heart leads to outward obedience.
Many churchgoers merely believe in Jesus. A disciple of Jesus is someone who increasingly lives as He would live if He were in their place.
Ready to level up? Do you want to be a disciple of Jesus who makes disciples?
We will meet for lunch from 11:30-1:00 pm on Wednesday for thirty weeks (an entire school year) in central Overland Park. We ask for a commitment; this is not a drop-in kind of thing. There will be homework. And we believe you'll be radically transformed by Jesus.

Being: Spiritual formation is a lifelong journey of expanding our capacity to live from the heart of Jesus, so that our ministry emerges from the depth of our being--who we are--rather than from the sweat of doing. Knowing: Growing in understanding and knowledge of the Bible are essential for equipping ourselves missionally. Doing: we will have experiences that move us to doing the skills and practices we are learning (like an apprentice).
We'll do a deep dive into the Good News. Who is Jesus? What is the problem of sin? What is the provision of Jesus? What's the deal with his resurrection? And what is our response to this?
What is truth? Is the Bible reliable and accurate? Is Jesus the only way? How can God allow evil and suffering? And what about those who haven't heard about Jesus? Will they be judged?
